ESS European Spallation Source

Projects related to the European Spallation Source

The European Spallation Source (ESS) will be the world's most powerful neutron source for neutron scattering studies when it comes online in 2019. The facility will enable new research opportunities in a number of fields, such as materials science, energy, life science and fundamental physics.

The division of nuclear physics collaborates with both the Detector Group (DG) and the Neutron Optics and Shielding Group (NOSG) at ESS, and offers a variety of projects within these groups' research activities.

More information about possible projects with either group (DG or NOSG) can be found on the two NUSTAR groups' (NOSG) or the SONNIG (DG, NOSG) group's webpages.
